Best Nutritional Soup For Postpartum

Traditionally, this soup was given to new mothers because of its many health benefits and healing properties. I'd like to share this ancient recipe to help you in your recovery.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz dried Seaweed
  • 1 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Perilla oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste (optional)
  • 3 cups Vegetable broth

Instructions:

Soak the seaweed in a large bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes or until they are fully soft and rehydrated. Drain and set aside.

Heat the perilla oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add in the garlic, onion and soy sauce, stir and cook until the onions are softened. Add in the vegetable broth and seaweed, stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for another 20-30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
